Cairo Table from Salone Internazionale del Mobile

The recent Salone Internazionale del Mobile ( Milan Furniture Fair ) held many intriguing pieces of furniture including the “Cairo Table” by anOtherArchitect of Berlin. The table is constructed in a mosaic or tessellated sample with each piece contributing to the overall furniture design. The interpretation images show “work in progress” providing an concept of how the Cairo Table came together. Inspiration for the piece came from the city of Cairo and how it is divided by the Nile River. On either side of the river is a plateau. The theme is how something

can become connected and soon after be disconnected like the plateaus on either side of the Nile. More data: here . Post from Cairo Table from Salone Internazionale del Mobile
