Many Americans are becoming more concerned about preserving the environment, as well as protecting their family’s health. There has been much attention brought of late to the negative effects of chemical-based cleaning products. So what sets these green products apart from standard cleaners other than a higher price tag? They are biodegradable, hypoallergenic, non-toxic, don’t contain

chlorine, have no petroleum based solvents, no glycol ethers, no phosphates, no dyes, are not tested on animals, are Kosher-certified, and won’t produce harmful odors. With demand growing, many “green” product lines have sprung up to capitalize on the lucrative opportunity. Unlike organic food, there is no regulation yet for natural cleaners, and no one to monitor which companies are truly producing a pure product. Only purchase products that clearly list all of the ingredients on the label.
