How to Save Water with Pavers

When you redo your driveway or patio, or the pathways around your home and garden consider permeable pavers instead of solid concrete. Permeable pavers are more eco-friendly that concrete, because they include holes (sometimes filled with crushed gravel) between the pavers that allow rainwater to slowly percolate into the ground. This prevents a fast rainwater runoff that spills into local waterways and can

cause damage to your driveway and patios, as well as concrete walkways. These holes between the pavers are insubstantial and do not interfere with you when you walk or drive over the pavers. They are a small but effective way to make your property a little more green as well as to upgrade your home image with good looks.
