How to Seal a Paint Can Tight

You may have several cans of pain that you stored last year and can’t get open now. Opening up a re-sealed paint can that has locked up while in storage is a real headache – you often need a pry bar to get it off. The next time you paint, stretch am industrial strength rubber band across the open can top side to side and anchor each end where the handle attaches to the

can. Each time you dip a brush into the paint, wipe off any excess onto the rubber band as you pull the brush out of the can. The excess paint will then easily drip back into the can instead of into the lip groove where it could have accumulated to dry as hard as cement. With that clean groove, the lid will seal up and come off again very easily.
