Open Question: What type of interior paint will adhere to plastic wall tiles?

IN THE HOUSE WE ARE LOOKING TO BUY, THE KITCHEN WALLS ARE COVERED WITH SMALL SQUARE PLASTIC TILES THAT LOOK LIKE CERAMIC BUT ARE ACTUALLY PLASTIC. RATHER THAN REMOVING THEM AND DEALING WITH THE ADHESIVE REMOVAL AND SMOOTHING OF THE WALLS,

I WOULD OPT TO PAINT THEM-WHAT TYPE OF PAINT WILL AdHERE TO THIS PLASTIC AND AT THE SAME TIME OFFER A DURABLE AND GOOD COVERAGE (SOME TILES ARE CREAM AND SOME BROWN)?
