Outdoor benches recalled due to fall hazard

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores, has announced a voluntary recall of about 4,500 Best Value park benches, due to a fall endanger posed to consumers whether the benches become unstable and break.

Manufactured in China and sold at Jo-Ann stores from January 2008 through March 2008 for about $30, that recall involves Best Value outdoor benches with a green metal frame and wooden

slats. Please see the CPSC press release for more knowledge.

Consumers are advised to stop using the bench and return it to the nearest Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft store for a full refund. For more info, consumers can either contact Jo-Ann Stores at (888) 739-4120, e mail the firm at guest.services@joann.com, or visit www.joann.com.
